Miriam Watson

July 11, 1942 — April 12, 2020

Miriam Watson left this world peacefully on April 12, 2020- Easter Sunday at the age of 77.

Miriam Watson is survived by her seven children Samantha Palmer, William Watson Jr. {Ginnie Watson}, Kimberly Ducharme, {Mike Ducharme}, Christopher Watson {Teresa Watson} Stacey Sharpnack {Richard Sharpnack, Jr}, Jessica Harwell, and Jason Watson {Eunice Watson}. She had 17 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Geri Fisher {Mark Fisher}, Ray Cole {Nancy Cole} as well as many friends.

Miriam was born on July 11, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to Grover and Laura Cole and the world has been a better place ever since. Miriam retired from the Orange County School System and filled her days with fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Miriam’s passion for gardening and being kind to others often meant you would leave her house with some kind of plant to take home and nourish. One of the quotes she chose to live her life by was “Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle”. Miriam overcame many health obstacles during the last five years. She never asked “Why me” or questioned her faith. Miriam was described by her children as graceful, generous, and kind. Anyone that was lucky enough to meet her are better people because of the time they spent together.

Due to the restrictions on large gatherings the family will have a small service for immediate family. However, A Celebration of life will be scheduled later this year to allow for all those that want to attend and celebrate this amazing woman alongside her family. Please feel free to offer condolences to the family or share a memory at https://www.highlandfh.com/obituary/Miriam-Watson . The family is also requesting in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Make a Wish Foundation (www.wish.org/donate) in her honor. The link is listed below.

The family would like to thank all the Angels from Hospice that helped care for Miriam with a special heart felt thank you to Janet, Janice and Suzie for not only their care, but the friendship they developed with their mother.
