Vincent Marsh

Vincent George Marsh affectionately known among family and friends as "Scotty", age 79, of Alexandria, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2020.

Vincent was born in Labyrinth in St. Mary, Jamaica on December 31, 1940. He was the son of Julius and Mae Marsh. Vincent was the 13th of 14 children. In 1964 Vincent immigrated to the United States and made New York his home. He graduated with a bachelors degree from State University of New York, Empire State College. Vincent also has a degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Vincent was married to Elaine Marsh. They shared 39 years of marriage. In his early years he worked as a telecommunications technician at the Jamaica Telephone Company and later with Local Union No. 3 IBEW in New York. Vincent, who had a degree in labor relations law, also worked as a labor law consultant. Vincent enjoyed family time, traveling, dancing, tennis, politics and day trading. Vincent had a unique spirit that lit up any room and he had the ability to make any gathering lively. He will be remembered for his wit and loving heart. Vincent is survived by wife Elaine, daughters Rene Marsh-Payne, Michelle Marsh, Sandra Marsh, grandson Blake Vince Payne, sister Marjorie Delapenha, son-in-law Kedric Payne and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
