Walter J. Ulekowski, Jr, 89, died July 14, 2020. He was born in West Allis, Wisconsin to Walter and Myrtle Ulekowski. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years Yoshiko Ulekowski, daughter Kathryn Ulekowski and daughter-in-law Cathleen Ulekowski. His memory will be cherished by his sons Michael (Pamela) Ulekowski, W. John Ulekowski; grandchildren Brett (Amanda) Ulekowski, Danielle (Evan) Bradford, Jared (Kristy) Ulekowski, Laureen Ulekowski; and great grandchildren Ashlynn, Ava, Brooklynn, Logan, and Lexi.

As a veteran, Wally served in the U.S. Army for 20 years in West Point, NY; Tokyo, Japan; Ft Meade, MD; Ft Bliss, TX; Ft Sheridan, IL; Munich, Germany; and Ft Sill, OK retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer CW3. Drum and Bugle Corps was an important part of his life participating in several Corps before, during and after his service. He was Director of the 24th Infantry Division (US Army) Drum and Bugle Corps from Munich, Germany; Legionettes from Enid, OK; and Thunderbolts from Cedarburg, WI. His Post-Army career included positions as a Computer Technician with Global Marine Drilling Company and his second retirement as an Entertainment Technician with Walt Disney World in Orlando.

He will be interred at a later date with his wife and daughter at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Wally’s name to Special Olympics in Clermont, FL where he volunteered for several years.
