Gerald Kane

July 23, 1944 — December 22, 2020

Gerald Arthur Kane of Debary, Fl Longwood, Fl and formerly of Buffalo, N.Y. passed away December 22, 2020- after a hard fought 20-year battle with cancer. Born in Buffalo N.Y. on July 23rd, 1944 to Bernard and Gertrude Kane. He was 76 years old.

Jerry was strong, intelligent, kind-hearted, ambitious, adventurous, loving, thoughtful, constantly curious, always encouraging, ahead of his times kind of man. His love for his family was unbound and I think most would agree there was not a moment they were not lucky to be apart of his life. He was excellent at whatever he chose to pursue be it a one of his many hobbies he was passionate about like cooking or his successful business of 34 years. An industrial engineering business he & his wife, Lynda Kane, started in 1986. They built their first office in their garage and continued to build up, out, & onward to a successful enterprise that is still proudly continued today. Gerald and his son Jason also had a successful sports card business & were able to meet some of sports greatest like Muhammed Ali, Mickey Mantle, Dan Marino and many more.

In his retired years Gerald loved spending summers at the beach, throwing gatherings for whatever sporting event, holiday, or celebration that was current. He was always one to bring joy to a room, an abundance of laughter to a conversation, and warmth in someone’s darkest hour.

Gerald was a dedicated husband, an exceptional father, the most doting grandfather, a fantastic brother, a loving uncle & great-uncle, and the best friend you could ask for. He was rare breed and will be greatly missed.

Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Corey, he leaves behind his wife of 49 yrs Lynda, his daughters Kati and Tricia, his son, Shawn daughter in law, Misty, his two grandsons Drake and Zanden and his sister Trudy Marie.

Due to Covid-19 there will not be a public service, but a celebration of life later in the year.
