Margaret Albertson

Margaret K. Albertson, 68, of Longwood, passed away on April 14, 2021 in Orlando, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on April 26th, 2021 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park, Florida.

Maggie was born in Charlottesville, Virginia to A. Sidney Knowles and Sarah Knowles on August 11th, 1952. She grew up and went to school in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from St. Andrews University. In 1975 she moved to Orlando, Florida and a few years later began her teaching career at Apopka High School. During her nearly twenty years there, she was heavily involved in the student government. She then moved to Lake Brantley High School where she would finish her career. Maggie genuinely loved teaching and made an immeasurable impact on hundreds of children throughout her days as an English teacher. She was deeply involved in the Florida League of Women Voters as well as the Friends of the Orlando Philharmonic. She was an extremely considerate and generous woman. She was an animal lover who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Maggie was an avid reader and belonged to book and reading clubs.

Maggie is preceded in death by her father, A. Sidney Knowles, and mother, Sarah Knowles.

Maggie is survived by her son, David Albertson and brothers, Peter and Chris Knowles, as well as her granddaughter, Olivia Albertson. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she so graciously touched. Her loving light will continue to shine through her family and friends.
