Jean passed away on November 25, 2020 at age 97 after suffering a stroke.

Virginia JEAN Wheatley Jackson Hilchuk was born February 4, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to Mildred Brown and Arthur Carey Wheatley. She lived mostly in the north east part of our great country. She resided in Brooklyn, New York until the age of three, when she moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey. At age 10, she moved to Springfield, Pennsylvania to live with her grandmother. The next move was back to Caldwell, New Jersey, then to Mountain Lakes, NJ where she graduated from High School in 1940. She attended Hood College in Frederick, Maryland and graduated in 1944. At that time she moved to Washington, DC and remained in the area until 1958, with one exception of two years at Cherry Point, NC, during the Korean War. She married George Maynard Jackson, Jr. on September 7, 1946. They had two children. She was divorced from George and later married Constantine Hilchuk and moved to Seminole County, Florida in 1958. Here she obtained her Master’s degree from Rollins College. She was a school teacher and guidance counselor in Orange County, Florida. She opened three elementary schools, Lake Weston, Brookshire, and Shenandoah. She retired in 1981. At that time she was living on the golf course at Rolling Hills. She sold real estate for a short time. Her activities were traveling, golf, bowling and bridge. In 2005 she moved one mile to Chambrell (now Cascade Heights, where she lived until her death. She spent 16 years as a volunteer at the South Seminole Christian Sharing Center. She leaves a brother, Robert William Wheatley of Loris, South Carolina, two children: Marcia Jackson Ketchersid of Saint Petersburg, FL and Richard Maynard Jackson of Windermere, FL, three grandchildren: Marla Ann Ketchersid Dozier, Adam David Jackson, and Lindsey Jean Jackson Sloan, and one great-grandchild: Emily Grace Dozier.
